Shayla Gulino, MS, ATC is a BOC-certified Athletic Trainer employed by the Catholic Health System. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Stony Brook University in 2018 and her Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition from Concordia University of Chicago in 2021. She has experience in various settings including orthopedic practice, physical therapy clinics, high school, middle school and in the education field as a collegiate and secondary school instructor. Additionally, Shayla is the owner and founder of Rocky Point-based business, Recovery Treatment Services, established in 2019. Her business has allowed her to treat a wide variety of patients including CrossFit, Spartan/Hyrox, MMA, and Olympic athletes using a range of manual therapies. Prior to starting with the Rocky Point School District, Shayla worked alongside OALI Sports Medicine physician, Dr. Mark Harary for 3 years. This experience allowed her to enhance her knowledge of concussion management, regenerative medicine and sports-related injuries. Lastly, Shayla is a member of the NATA and the Suffolk County Athletic Trainer’s Association.
